What should I say they did?
Say the actual thing, not the sentiment. 'Drove two hours on a Tuesday to sit with my mother' makes a better song than 'was always there for me'.
Can it be for a group — a team, a ward, a crew?
Yes. Put the group's name in and write about what they did together; the song will address them as a group.
Is a song too much for a small favour?
